FAQ

Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash Extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. However, Vera Lashes recommends getting a refill every 2-4 weeks to keep them looking nice and full.

If applied correctly and properly, lash extensions will not cause damage to your natural lashes. Make sure not to rub your eyes or pull / tug your extensions because this can cause damage to the natural lashes.

Yes, you can. Try avoiding oil based products as this ingredient will loosen the lash bond causing extensions to fall.

1. After initial installation of your eyelash you should avoid soaking your eyes with water and steam for the first 24 hours.

2. Do not use mascara.

3. Sleep on your back.

4. Do not use oil based cleansing products.

5. Brush them morning and night.

6. Refill every 2 to 4 weeks.

If this is your first time getting eyelash extensions, we recommended getting more of a natural look to begin with. If more volume or length is desired this can be added to at your refill appointment.

Yes, there are some cases reported where client’s eyes can become itchy and swollen after getting the treatment. We recommend you take the patch test to check if you have had a previous allergic reaction to eyelash extensions, or if you have pre-existing medical conditions.

Allergic reactions are extremely rare however, and subside normally as soon as the extensions are removed. If you have extreme latex/band-aid allergies, you may be at higher risk of a reaction. If you have had an allergic reaction to any eyelash extensions before (swollen, puffy eyelids and under eye area) we do not recommend getting lash extensions again – as it is highly likely you will be allergic again. If you do have an allergic reaction, you must seek medical attention and we will need to remove the extensions as soon as possible.
